Decided to take a day trip out of city to visit a coffee plantation at Fusugasato. Booked on TripAdvisor via Viator. Expensive but includes an English speaking guide.

Andrea explained that few speak English in columbia as the lessons are expensive but that government are trying to promote greater tourism since oil price decline.

The visit was very informative at Hacienda Coloma. Through a working plantation they only harvest twice per year so there was little happening. However they demonstrated the total process.

A surprise was the fabulous orchids we saw in the gardens.

After lunch we drove back by a scenic route via San Miguel, rain spoilt views, but had superb strawberries and cream in a strawberry growing region high in the hills.

Dinner in hotel was good for Val with tuna but my steak was abysmal.
