After yesterday a new day. Temperatures in mid to high teens but very dank and grey. Apparently it is like this all the time in Lima.

Tour pick up saw us with 7 Spanish. But guide spoke good English and was funny. Traffic in Lima is always bad with grid lock but drive into town was OK. Quite a nice city and obvious everywhere that they employ people to keep the streets clean all the time.

Went to St Martins square and then main Plaza Mayor. On to cathedral which surprisingly was not very ornate and is actually built of wood. Finally finished of in town visiting an elaborate old house owned by 17 generations of the same family back to when lima founded. Beautiful.

Highlights of trip was then a visit to museum larco which is about the Moche race who existed before the Incas. There were approx 30000 pottery items a vast majority showing different facial features like toby jugs. Really fascinating. Other items in museum related were also interesting. Unfortunately there was only time for a quick look at key displays.

Much of the central of lima built on inca temples and there is a huge excavation going on. Looks really interesting.

Home and then out for early dinner at Saqra. Was expensive by Peruvian standards but probably best overall meal we have had so far in our travels. Had to taste pisco sour.... Off course.
